According to times report, the trio were let go during recent contract negotiations as their role is no longer deemed necessary. The site also added that there are more actors who have not had their contracts renewed.

Gaaratwe Mokethi, Generations – The Legacy’s publicity manager, said it was not out of the ordinary for the drama to let go of actors. “We are in contract negotiations. At this time of year contracts are reviewed and depending on the story certain actors stay and others go.”

Mokheti added the drama was focused on keeping viewers gripped by changing its storyline.

“Our biggest loyalty is in advancing the story and keeping our viewers entertained and that’s the reason we keep introducing new and fresh stories,” she said.
