Taking to the social media platform Nataniël revealed that he recently had a spate of bad luck‚ which caused him to miss a show for the first time in 29 years.

This included being hospitalised for exhaustion and shock‚ after the place he was staying at was robbed and thieves made off with R100K of his personal items.

According to Nataniël he was not feeling well and was advised to rest after taking medication. While asleep‚ the entertainer was woken up by voices.

“I fell asleep and woke up almost immediately‚ from voices somewhere in the place where I was staying‚” he said.

Nataniël said that at first he thought that the voices belonged to cleaners from the venue but he realised that something was wrong when someone yanked open his bedroom door.

“I pretended that I was sleeping‚ I was afraid that they had guns. The door was immediately closed and the intruders started yelling at each other that they should leave. Someone yanked the door open again‚ and grabbed my bag and cellphone‚” he explained.

Shortly after the thieves had left he jumped up but was too late as they were already in their getaway vehicle.

“Back inside I realised that they also stole more than R40 000 in cash‚ my ID‚ passport‚ wallets‚ drivers licence‚ two leather bags‚ four designer jackets and my theatre bag with my microphone‚ shoes‚ make-up‚ etcetera — quite a lot more than R100 000 worth of damages.”

After the ordeal Nataniël had to be rushed to hospital where he had to be treated for a combination of sleep deprivation‚ exhaustion and shock.
