Details around the accident and Rapulana’s condition remain unclear, with a string of media reports claiming that he is in a critical condition.

Speaking to Sowetan Generations:The Legacy publicist, Gaaratwe Mokhethi explained that they could not comment about the accident as details were still vague.

“I can’t confirm at this stage because the details are sketchy. We can’t comment under pressure because this is a sensitive matter. We have heard the rumours but cannot confirm or deny anything,” she said.

According to a statement from ER24, two men were killed and four others were injured after two vehicles collided on the N14, near Diepsloot.

Apparently when paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident two men were declared dead, while critically injured patients were airlifted to hospital.

Police spokesman Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said two people had died in the crash and a case of culpable homicide was being investigated. According to a statement on ER24’s website, paramedics “found one vehicle in the middle of the isle of the road and the other among the bushes on the side of the road”.

It is believed that there were three people in each vehicle.

Mduduzi Skhakhane, Seiphemo’s brother-in-law speaking to timeslive, said the actor was in a stable condition.

“He’s in the hands of the doctors and we are now waiting on them.

“It’s a difficult time for us.”
