The 2019 JOZI TESE Festival planning full-steam ahead

3rd JOZI TESE FESTVAL

Plans for the 3rd annual edition of Jozi’s fastest growing lifestyle festival, 2019 JOZI TESE FESTIVAL, are shaping up well and organisers are pleased to announce a brand new date, brand new venue – along with the first batch of artists.

Presented in partnership with BET, the bustling outdoor lifestyle festival celebrating Johannesburg in all its glory, makes its 3rd anticipated return – this time at the multi-purpose Ruimsig Stadium in Roodepoort, Johannesburg, on Saturday 30th November 2019.

A must for those looking for a truly cosmopolitan vibe, the eagerly awaited festival will feature tons of activities ranging from live music to local artisan food market, themed bars, hot air balloon rides and a variety of exhibitors from the hotel industry, automotive and property sectors as well as an exciting selection of leading fashion and beauty brands.

Bigger and better than ever, the 2019 Jozi Tese festival features a truly vibrant live music program led by Mzansi’s music sensation Sho Madjozi (following her BET Best runway success), house music superstar Holly Rey, globally appraised DJ and producer Ralph Gum, up-rising neo-soul musician Simmy, Swazi-born songbird Zamo Dlamini and East-Rand based Afro-fusion band Boitumelo & Friends

The unstoppable Afro pop music duo, Mafikizolo, and king of the dance music floors, DJ Ganyani, are back by popular demand for their 3rd anticipated performances.

Thanks to the truly vibrant line up of musicians catering for everyone across all age and racial groups, not to mention the festival’s investment in emerging bands, the festival is rapidly becoming an undeniable game changer in live music circles – especially when it comes to inclusivity.

“2019 is really an important year for us as we continue to work hard not only when it comes to developing and growing the Jozi Tese’s broad offering. This year’s top class acts is an indication of our commitment to bringing music lovers and guests nothing but the best that South Africa and the rest of the continent has to offer,” festival director Tshepo Riba said.

Commenting on the change of venue for this year’s festival – from Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens to the  lush green Ruimsug Stadium, Riba said: “While selecting the venue for this festival, we considered a venue that would provide us with excellent facilities, beautiful scenery and tranquil surroundings.”

A surefire way to create unforgettable family bonding experiences, a monitored kids’ entertainment area complete with carnival rides, games, water sports, hot air balloon rides and much more will be added to the mix.
