DURBAN – KwaZulu-Natal police said six people were killed on Wednesday night in an ambush in the Mpumalanga township, west of Durban.
The police’s Jay Naicker on Thursday morning said five of those killed were believed to be from one family.
“Last night at approximately 8:30 pm, police at Mpumalanga SAPS were called out to an incident that took place in the area. It’s alleged that the family was watching TV when unknown suspects opened fire on them. It’s alleged that six people passed away. Five from one family, while the neighbour was with them watching TV. A three-year-old child was also taken to hospital for serious injuries.”
