Hospital administrator Rachel Gow had wanted to walk up the aisle and have a family of her own but became ”troubled” that she had not yet achieved either, an inquest heard
Rachel Gow’s greatest wish was to get married and desperately wanted a family of her own but as her 30th birthday approached, she revealed to family members that she felt she was ‘not where she should be in life’ and that other members of her family were ‘doing better than her.’ Gow is said to have suffered a number of insecurities in her relationship and felt her boyfriend was going to leave her, so she decided to kill herself.
The day she died, Miss Gow sent her boyfriend a text message wishing him ‘all the best for the future’ before poisoning herself.
Miss Gow who had attained a 2:1 in History from Lancaster University, was working as an hospital administrator at Royal Bolton Hospital.
