P Diddy’s son Justin Dior Combs has broken his silence after his father was arrested on suspicion of assaulting and threatening his trainer, saying: “I thank God for having a father that’s always there for me.”
The 20-year-old, who is one of Diddy’s six children, posted a picture of his dad putting his arm around him, with both men smiling.
He added: “I love you pops!”
Justin’s message of support for his beloved dad came shortly after a statement released by his representatives claimed that he was acting in self defence, to protect himself and his son.
And Diddy reinforced the message, posting on his own Instagram the same picture of father and son, with the simple words #family first.”
The incident allegedly took place at an athletic facility on the campus of UCLA where his son Justin Combs attends and plays football.
The 45-year-old rapper was taken into custody at the campus jail on Monday afternoon, TMZ reported.
He was arrested and later transferred by campus officers to the Los Angeles County Jail according to the site.
TMZ reports that the producer has been charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of making terrorist threats, and one count of battery.
