Mariah Carey has wasted no time in flashing her incredible engagement ring after accepting James Packer’s proposal.
The singer – who is yet to comment publicly on the exciting announcement after her rep confirmed the happy news to Mirror Celebs on Thursday night – stepped out and showed off her huge rock.
She was spotted hand in hand with her billionaire fiancé, beaming for the cameras in a stunning black gown – although her dress definitely wasn’t the focus of everyone’s attention.
While the singer is yet to announce it publicly, her rep confirmed the news to Mirror Celebs on Thursday night.
According to reports, the Australian businessman, 48, got down on one knee in New York after rounding up some of the star’s closest friends to witness the special moment.
The pair first met at a movie premiere in Aspen in 2014 where they struck up a friendship, but didn’t start dating until June 2015.
Speaking about their meeting, Mariah previously said: “We were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that. So, we hit it off.”
This will be Mariah’s third marriage following her union with Nick Cannon, the father of her twins, and music mogul Tommy Mottola.
James, Australia’s fourth richest man, has also been married twice before and has three children of his own.
