Somizi finally speaks on friendship fall-out with Bonang: explained how the duo went from BFFs to fr-enemies.
Before falling out of love and friendship for each other, we can boldly cab Bonang and Somizi were the most envied Mzansi most envied BFFs.
The two were an unstoppable forces. They partied and traveled together. Flooded social media pages with pictures of their fun and glamorous friendship and often seen gushing about their mutual love and admiration for each other. By all accounts, the duo enjoyed a relationship that many saw as solid and loyal.
The relationship ended abruptly last year when the duo suddenly went quite on each other, after which Bonang unfollowed Somizi on instagram and twitter.
The two were mum on why their relationship ended for months, Somizi did not speak about why he and Bonang stopped being friends and neither did Bonang. But on Wednesday night’s episode of Somizi’s reality show, Living The Dream with Somizi, he finally opened up about what had transpired.
In the episode, Somizi was speaking about his red carpet experience at the SAFTAs where he happened to bump into Bonang. Somizi explained that it was the first time he had seen Bonang after four months of no communication.
“At this stage I hadn’t seen Bonang for like four months, we’d been friends for over five years and in my head, we were BFFs.
“And then one morning I wake up and she’s not talking to me and I then hear from people that she unfollowed me on Twitter and on Instagram, hawu. The last time I had spoken to this person she was in Mauritius the night before telling me how much she misses me and then the next thing dololo.”
Somizi went on to say that he had called Bonang to enquire about what the issue was, to which Bonang said she would call him back as she was busy. She never got back to him.
“All I hear is that she thinks or she was told that I told Zinhle about her relationship with AKA… but why? Why would I do that to her?
“I want the three of them, Zinhle, AKA and Bonang, to sit down and tell me who said that I said what. I’m too old for this sh***.”
“People come in your life and leave for a reason,” Somizi added.
