AKA reportedly hit Somizi with glass door at samas when the duo bumped into each other.
Somizi Mhlongo, who on Saturday night hosted the South African Music Awards, had a dramatic start to his weekend when he “bumped into” rapper AKA on Friday night at the Durban Hilton’s Rainbow Terrace restaurant.
According to timeslive, the “awkward moment” was witnessed by several celebs, as the Baddest Star – real name Kiernan Forbes – shoved open a glass door, almost bumping Mhlongo’s face with it – even though they could see each other.
“AKA could clearly see Somizi because it’s a transparent glass door. If Somizi hadn’t moved back he could have hit his face, but it [the door] just got his body,” said one celebrity.
Forbes reportedly said to Mhlongo: “The irony of this.”
The pair have been at loggerheads since September, when the rapper’s baby momma, DJ Zinhle Jiyane, revealed he had been cheating on her with TV personality Bonang Matheba. At the time the two were best friends, but since December have been estranged.
