After several months of keeping us guessing, Maps Maponyane has finally confirmed his relationship with the screen diva Nomzamo Mbatha.
The TV star and Tell me Sweet Something actor who found himself on a spot during his interview with the popular DJ Sbu, had no choice than to answer Sbu’s cunning questions in the most diplomatic way ever. Even though he had no escaping route, Maps Maponyane finally confirmed his affair with the SA’s leading lady, Nomzamo Mbatha even though he didn’t state weather they will be walking down the aisle anytime soon.
Speaking on breakfast show, Thursday morning, 14 July. The controversial radio DJ didn’t waste any time, and got straight to the point: “Do you think you guys might just walk the aisle?”
Maps laughing responds, “You never know any of that.
“The best thing is that we have a super supportive relationship, where we’re both completely hustling, pushing and setting things up. And we’re literally best friends.”
When asked if being in the same industry makes it easier on their relationship, he replies, “It only makes it easier because we’re in the same industry and we have the same drive and the same visions.”
And about those “best friend” posts on social media, he says, “People think we are joking about the buddy thing. But we really call each other buddy.”
Nomzamo Mbatha who recently revealed during an interview that she is not in the entertainment industry for relevance but rather for takeover seems like an unstoppable force in achieving her goal.
The talented actress was featured in the latest issue of US magazine, where she talked about her home country Durban.
Even though Maps and Nomzamo often appeared loved-up but the actress has made it clear that marriage is not on her goal list. She revealed this during an interview that she once had a ring on her finger and she is not considering to ever have one again.
Finger crossed, we hope Maps will be able to make the beautiful actress change her mind about marriage.
