Caivil Hair is on the lookout for professional stylists throughout South Africa who believe they’re a cut above the rest and could form part of the prestigious Caivil Glam Squad, which will be coiffing VIPs at the South African Film and Television Awards at Sun City from March 22 to 24.

Caivil Hair is asking stylists to enter via Whatsapp where each entrant must send his or her details including their name, cellular number and their place of practice together with three pictures of hairstyles they have created to 082 0641131.

After entries close on Tuesday March 6, 2018 at 5pm, the judges will short list 40 finalists (20 from KZN and 20 from Gauteng) who will compete in the final rounds of the competition at 320 Pixley Ka Seme (West Street), Durban in KZN on Tuesday March 13 and in Gauteng at 361 Jan Smarts Avenue, Craighall Park on March 15 at from 9am to 6pm at both venues.

Finalists will have the opportunity to showcase their talent to some of SA’s finest hair stylists who will be judges on the day. They will be measured on their speed and efficiency and talent when working with different styles.

Winners will not only take home a fantastic styling kit worth over R10 000 but will be included in the team of ten who will make up the Caivil Glam Squad who will be ensuring that celebrities such as Zola Nombana, Masasa Mbangeni and Kgomotso Christopher are looking their best at this year’s SAFTAs. The stylists will experience first-hand the awards which celebrate, promote, honour the creativity, quality, and excellence of South African Film and Television talent and productions, as well as encourages entrepreneurship and development of new talent within the industry.

We would really like to encourage all professional hair stylists to enter this exciting competition and know we are going to unearth some awesome talent. It’s a fantastic opportunity for independent South African stylists to form part of the team at the SAFTA Awards and other future events that Caivil will be a part of.
