Imbaliyethu Primary School in Chatsworth was recently visited by members of Ntenga Foundation and uShaka Marine World where they donated school shoes to underprivileged learners.

They were entertained by the uShaka Marine Worlds Ocean Warrior Mascots, Phila the Penguin, Siva the Seal, Raggy the Shark and Delia the Dolphin, which left every face with a smile, before Dr Stella Khumalo (CEO of uShaka Marine World) and Siyanda Calvin Ntenga who heads up the Ntenga Foundation addressed the learners. The brand new school shoes were then donated to the children accordingly.

The school shoes were donated as a result of the funds raised by the Ntenga Foundation Charity Run/Walk events that take place on an annual basis.

Now in its fifth year, the Ntenga Foundation Charity Run/Walk is one of the top unique charity mass participation events in KwaZulu Natal. Over 4000 social runners, families and friends have participated in the races that take place at uShaka Marine World. Funds raised through these run/walk events goes towards the buying of school shoes for underprivileged children within the greater Durban area.
