The Secretary-General will also meet cabinet members to discuss Commonwealth priorities.
Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland will arrive in eSwatini on Monday 27 January for a four-day official visit.
She will meet His Majesty Mswati III, King of eSwatini, and attend the opening of parliament.
The Secretary-General will also meet Cabinet members to discuss Commonwealth priorities, including preparations for the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting to be held in Rwanda in June 2020.
The Secretary-General said: “I am honoured to have been invited by His Majesty King Mswati III to visit eSwatini.
“eSwatini has been a steadfast and active member of the Commonwealth since joining in 1968. This will be my first visit to the Kingdom. I look forward to engaging with the people of eSwatini and learning more about their aspirations for the future and how the Commonwealth can support them, in collaboration with regional and international partners.”
