“I want to stand as a beacon of hope and an inspiration – to let people know that “YOU CAN DO IT” despite where you come from and your background”. These were the words of Miss South Africa 2nd Princess 2017 Boipelo Mabe, when we caught up with her, after the much sought after crowning of the Miss South Africa pageant.
A few moments in her presence, I could sense that the ability to inspire naturally resides within her and it’s no surprise that she was honoured as a living Icon for Alexandra township.
Her background has been a grounding force, for much of her achievements and has made this woman of substance willingly share her gifts, talents and skills to those around her and her community.
The drive to see development in others evinces the ineffable nurturer and pioneer of change she encapsulates.
