Miss South Africa 2018 pageant kicked off on a high note yesterday night, at the recently opened lavish Sun Arena in Pretoria South Africa. The Miss SA Pageant was celebrating its 60th birthday in style and the ever eloquent and gorgeous Bonang Matheba added to the glitz as the Host for the show.
The sought after crown was taken by Tamaryn Green – Speaking to media at a press conference after her crowning, Tamaryn says she knew her life had changed completely when she heard her name being called.
“I can’t describe exactly what I felt, but when they said my name the first thing I said was thank you to my creator. And then second in my head was, thank you to my parents. That is exactly what went through my head. I just knew my life changed completely at that moment, but for the better.”
This year, the prize package for Miss South Africa 2018 was bigger than ever Not only will she receive R1-million in cash from Cell C and Sun International, she’ll also receive prizes from sponsors – including a brand-new Nissan Qashqai and designer garments and many more prizes.
