Migos Unveil Music Video For ‘roadrunner’

Featured In Youtube Originals Docuseries “Ice Cold”

Migos — OffsetQuavo, and Takeoff — uncover the cinematic music video for “Roadrunner.

It stands out as the end credit track from Ice Cold: The Promise of Hip Hop Jewelry, YouTube Originals four-episode docuseries that uses the prism of hip-hop jewelry to explore deeper issues around racial inequity and the American Dream.

The clip opens on a trio of 18-wheelers barreling down an open freeway through the desert, setting the scene. Not long after, these three hip-hop titans take over an apocalyptic-style encampment with no shortage of lyrical firepower and high fashion panache. The clip moves at the speed of the song with frenetic cuts and staggering wide shots. Meanwhile, “Roadrunner” has emerged as a fan favorite from the record with over 10 million streams and counting thus far. It notably features in the YouTube Originals docu-series, Ice Cold: The Promise of Hip Hop Jewelry, streaming on the group’s YouTube channel. In addition to Migos discussing the role of jewelry in rap, A$AP FergCity Girls,French Montana,Lil BabyLil YachtySlick RickTalib Kweli and more also participate in the conversation.

Upon release, Culture III bowed at #2 on the Billboard Top 200, marking the group’s third consecutive Top 3 debut on the chart in four years. Stacked with a plethora of anthems, Billboard professes, “Migos reassemble like the hip-hop avengers.” Meanwhile, Rolling Stone graded Culture III“4-out-of-5” and claimed, Migos have provided a musical carnival for a world that’s ready to go back outside.”Hypebeast summed it up best as“The culmination of the Culture series…is a proper send-off to the trilogy that shot them to stardom.”

Culture III serves as the finale of the blockbuster Culture trilogy. As a knockout climax, it spotlights their nimble ad-libs, bulletproof bars, head-spinning hooks, and irreplaceable chemistry. Not to mention, it’s stacked with A-list co-stars, including DrakeCardi BJustin BieberFuturePolo GYoungboy NBA the late Juice WRLD and Pop Smoke to name a few. They celebrate the release with the music video for “Modern Day. Between the jet-skis, rare automobiles, private planes, and smoke,

Migos trade equally high-octane rhymes in this luxurious big screen-worthy visual.

They paved the way for the album with “Straightenin. The RIAA certified Gold record, has already racked up north of 140 million worldwide streams and 40+ million views on the music video with no signs of slowing down.

Meanwhile, its predecessor “Need It” [feat. YoungBoy Never Broke Again] has amassed over 200 million worldwide streams and 60 million views on the music video.

Culture stands tall in the pantheon of great hip-hop series. The original platinum-selling Culture bowed at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 in 2017 and garnered two 2018 GRAMMY® nominations, including “Best Rap Album” and “Best Rap Performance” for the Billboard Hot 100 #1 “Bad & Boujiee” [feat. Lil Uzi Vert]. On its heels, Culture II elevated Migos to rarified air.

Not only did it capture #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and pick up a double-platinum plaque, but they emerged as “the first rap group to tie the Beatles for most simultaneous Hot 100 entries” after the Fab Four clutched the record solo for 54 years.

They changed that! To date, they have gathered 25 billion streams and 68 billion YouTube views in addition to earning the “Most Wins By Any Group in BET Awards History, taking home “Best Group” four consecutive years in a row.

The streets, the internet, and the game have been begging for Culture III, and now Migos have delivered.

The culture belongs to them…
