The Fun Company gets ahead of the game at Sibaya and The Pavilion

Festive season fun is on the up in KwaZulu-Natal with the official re-opening of the arcade at Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom today (Monday, December 13th).

After an extensive revamp undertaken by The Fun Company, the Sibaya Casino family entertainment centre now offers Bumper Cars, Mini Bowling and a great selection of arcade games.

Guy Caminsky, CEO of The Fun Company said “Keeping with our mission to be the best in class, we saw an opportunity to bring The Fun Company’s pioneering entertainment offering to the Sibaya precinct. We believe that this will even further enhance the fantastic entertainment experience at Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom.”

This follows closely on the heels of the launch of Projection Bowling, a state-of-the-art interactive bowling system at The Fun Company situated in the Pavilion Shopping Centre. The first of its kind in the province of KwaZulu-Natal and the only one in South Africa, this system utilizes ground breaking Norwegian software that takes ten pin bowling to a whole new level.

“We’re going all out to up our game every year. Our ethos is to provide secure, interactive all-round family entertainment for everyone, regardless of age. Come rain or shine – or even Covid-19 – we have a host of special action-packed activities that will provide loads of laughter and create lasting family memories,” says Caminsky.

Amazingly, The Fun Company started out in 1978 with a single conventional ten pin bowling and putt-putt centre in Durban. Since then, the business has become a national brand with 13 outlets across South Africa. Throughout its 43-year history, The Fun Company has not only created new and exciting locations, but embraced technology to bring a comprehensive entertainment offering to every generation.

Now ten pin bowling has moved beyond simply tossing a ball down a lane in the hope of knocking down ten pins to an interactive and colourful high-tech experience with infrared cameras that detect the movement of the bowling ball and work in conjunction with infrared lights, software and projectors to show the imagery on each individual lane as the ball is bowled.

Each Fun Company outlet offers a range of attractions that includes everything from Bumper Cars, Laser Maze, Mini Golf and Laser Tag to a 4D theatre, Trampoline Park, and the latest in arcade gaming.

In addition to keeping everyone entertained over the festive season and long summer school holidays, The Fun Company is also the ultimate birthday party venue, a great team building venue and even a great place to hold functions such as baby showers and hens and bulls parties.

Throughout the upcoming holidays, friendly staff will be on hand at all venues to not only make sure that everyone has the most fun possible but that all Covid protocols are observed so that no-one has to worry about safety whilst letting their hair down!
