Born this way! Lady Gaga posted a picture of herself on Instagram on Monday, July 21, declaring she’s proud of her curves after commenters called her fat.
Posing on top of a convertible car in a fur jacket with her bare legs on full display, the Mother Monster captioned the snap: “Curvy and Proud.”
Gaga’s Instagram comes after commenters have been labeling her “fat” after seeing her revealing ensembles at her current #artRAVE tour. One commenter, @boraabora, even went as far as to write: “Gaga is over, she is fat, Katy [Perry] is better than her.
The “Gypsy” singer is no stranger to being fat-shamed. Back in 2012, the songstress, who later revealed to Harper’s Bazaar in March 2014 she once battled an eating disorder, started a social media campaign for people to accept their bodies on her website.

“Today I join the BODY REVOLUTION. To Inspire Bravery. And BREED some m$therf**king COMPASSION,” Gaga wrote on her Little Monsters site, along with pictures of herself in a bra and underwear. “This profile is an extension of that dream. Be brave and celebrate with us your ‘perceived flaws,’ as society tells us. May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous.”
Another who is accepting of Gaga’s self-proclaimed curves? Her hunk of a boyfriend Taylor Kinney!
In the same 2012 blog post, Gaga wrote: “My boyfriend prefers me curvier, when I eat and am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I’m happy. Happier then I’ve ever been. I am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny. This is who I am. And I am proud at any size.”
