OPPO partners with fashion visionary Rich Mnisi to launch its luxurious Find N2 Flip in South Africa

31 March 2023, Johannesburg – Fitting for a luxurious premium foldable mobile device which seamlessly blends style with the best of technology, OPPO has partnered with groundbreaking designer Rich Mnisi to mark the arrival of the Find N2 Flip in South Africa.

Easily slipping into pockets and the sleekest designer clutches, the Find N2 Flip boasts the convenience of a smaller and more compact foldable design while packing a punch thanks to features including the largest flip phone cover screen in the market, an impressive 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP selfie camera with nifty autofocus.

Similarly, Johannesburg-based designer Rich Mnisi has carved a reputation for creating superlative designs rooted in innovative processes and superior craftsmanship.

It is those parallels which has made Rich the perfect choice to take on the role as brand partner for the pocket sized designer device which epitomizes OPPO’s reputation for excellence in contemporary aesthetics and its pioneering spirit.

“As the world’s leading smart device manufacturers and innovators, OPPO’s mission is to elevate life through technological artistry. Rich, in the space of a very short period of time, has elevated South African design on the world stage through a bold vision and innovative style. His designs are inimitable, enthralling and covetable – and we are excited to join forces with him in highlighting our very first premium flagship device which embodies our “Technology as art form” ethos,” said Avashnee Moodley, Head of Marketing at OPPO South Africa.

Meanwhile Rich described the partnership, which will see the designer produce a limited edition phone cases for the Find N2 Flip, as “the perfect union which opens up so many doors for exploration”.

“This is the first time we are working with a technology partner – and what a way to dive into the world of tech with the sleekest phone in the market which embodies everything we believe in as a brand!” said the multi-award winning creative who has dressed a host of international stars including musical artists Beyonce and Ciara.

The designer said the specially designed phone covers take their cue from his brand’s luxurious style.

“I wanted to create a piece that would match any RICH MNISI item you have in your closet. The RICH MNISI universe has created the most beautiful furniture for your homes, its clothes are adorned on your body and now you can carry a piece of art in your pocket with the custom RICH MNISI x OPPO cellphone covers which extend their functionality into bags,” he said.

Launching in South Africa in April, the Find N2 Flip device features a generously-sized portrait-mode cover screen, which is 70% larger than the competition, and sports an industry leading hinge for the ultimate crease control. The device easily folds flat, while the Flexion Hinge can hold angles of between 45 and 100 degrees. Fashionable content creators will find its FlexForm Mode particularly attractive for taking their “Outfit of the Day” visuals – this enables the phone to stand on its own without a tripod and allows for low-angle shooting with a preview on the lower half of the main screen, or hands-free stable video calling.

The Find N2 Flip is equipped with a large 4,300mAh battery and 44W SUPERVOOC™ flash charge which allows users on the run to easily recharge their smartphone to 50% in just 23 minutes!

The device, which will be available in classic black and shimmering glossy purple with polished aluminum sides. Its fingerprint-resistant superior glass cover, and a micro-etched wave pattern across the hinge, further adds to its visual stunning appearance.

The OPPO Find N2 Flip is available on contract at all networks from R1 199 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model. For the local market, OPPO has pledged to continue to lead the way for smartphone innovation, with new generations being built on the years of experience and learning before them.
