Reflecting on his musical journey, Taberer shares, “The album ‘Atlantic’ is a collection of poems, stories, thoughts and messages I wrote over the last 10 years. There’s an immense vulnerability that comes with the realisation that I’m about to publicise all my journal entries. But sometimes it’s the fear that makes you feel most alive. This project has been a labor of love for me, a journey of amalgamating my life experiences with my wild imagination and using the entire musical process to convey that feeling.” His musical style is a fusion of pop and rock elements with a touch of 80s nostalgia, forming a unique sound that defies categorization. His influences span across genres and eras, resulting in a sound that is both contemporary and timeless. The authenticity of his music shines through, capturing the essence of his journey as a musician and storyteller.
While “Atlantic” marks Blair Taberer’s first public release, his musical journey began years ago. Born in Zimbabwe and now residing in South Africa, Taberer’s path to music was a gradual one.
