Big Brother Africa Hotshots will continue in a new venue announced M-Net and Endemol in a statement. A new venue had to be found after the original house at Sasani Studios in Highlands North, Johannesburg burnt down on 2 September.
“After exploring all possible options, the team are delighted to announce that the show will go on as a venue has been found to get the show on air within the next month,” read a joint statement released by Mnet and Endemol.
However, the location and exact date the show will air was not released. It was speculated that the show might be filmed in another country where there is an existing Big Brother House.
The show was scheduled to start on the 7th of September but was postponed after the fire.
No one was hurt in the fire and the cause of the fire is still being investigated.
