Amber Rose & Wiz Khalifa Split: Is Nick Cannon The Reason? The Truth.
Now that Amber has filed for divorce from Wiz, there’s a report that claims she’s dating newly single Nick Cannon. HollywoodLife.com has the exclusive scoop on what’s really going on between Wiz, Amber, Nick and Mariah.
There are a ton of questions surrounding the sudden split between rapper Wiz Khalifa, 27, and his wife of a little over a year, Amber Rose. Amber, 30, recently signed with Nick Cannon‘s music label, and they’ve been spending a lot of time together. In the wake of his own split from Mariah Carey, it might be easy for people to assume that he and Amber are romantically involved, but are they?
Amber, who rose to fame for starring in music videos and dating Kanye West, has taken a bit of a backseat in recent years, to focus on her marriage and one-year-old son, Sebastian. But recently she started revamping her image, she wore a scandalous outfit to the 2014 MTV VMAs, had a small part in Nick’s latest movie, School Dance and then more recently, signed with Nick’s music label, Ncredible.
“Amber has a horrible reputation,” our source tells us. “She and Nick aren’t hooking up but he’s hooking up with girls left and right. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do [hook up] because they’ve been spending tons of time together. His split from Mariah had nothing to do with her.”
There’s a report that claims that Amber and Nick are more than just a business relationship and that Amber has fallen for the America’s Got Talent host.
“Amber has had a crush on Nick since forever,” a source tells MTO. “He was like a mentor to her, and I think she fell in love.”
However, TMZ also states what we’re saying, that Nick had nothing to do with the split!
“Nick claims he only learned about Amber’s domestic problems through her lawyers last week when he signed her on as a client,” TMZ reports. “That’s when Nick says he found out her marriage was on the rocks and only then did the two share break-up stories.”
Amber cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce documents, according to TMZ. It also states that she wants full legal and physical custody of Sebastian.
But this definitely comes as a shock since on Aug. 18, Amber posted a photo from her wedding day with the caption: “Today was the day we said our vows before God and our Family. I knew as soon as I met u, u were the one for me sweetheart. Happy 1 year anniversary mistercap and many more to come.”
