adidas Equipment Returns for Spring/Summer 2025
South Africa, 9th January 2025: Born in 1991, and driven by the mantra “Everything that is essential. And nothing that is not”, for four decades adidas Equipment has embodied the pioneering ethos of the Three Stripes. Now, in 2025, the trailblazing line has returned, this time uniting the pioneers of today across sport, music, and streetwear, delivering only the best for those shaping culture.
Shot in Stockholm, one of the world’s most progressive musical cities, the Spring/Summer 2025 Equipment collection is brought to life through a dynamic campaign featuring singer-songwriter and PC Music affiliate, Namasenda, and culture shaping member of the Sad Boys collective, Yung Sherman. Realized through the lens of photographer Theo Cottle, the imagery tells a story of community, raw energy, and synergistic connections.
The collection itself is headlined by two footwear silhouettes – the adidas Equipment Cushion 93 and the adidas Equipment Takumi Sen. Having debuted in 1993, the adidas Equipment Cushion 93 was one of the original Equipment sneakers and is reimagined for today with a reflective mesh upper and overlays. Meanwhile, merging the timeless codes of the Equipment line, while representing the pinnacle of the brand’s innovation today, the Equipment Takumi Sen features adidas Equipment branding, reflective mesh uppers, metallic overlays and a reflective midsole.
Staying true to the Equipment ethos, the apparel selection is engineered using innovative materials including heavyweight French terry cloth with reflective yarn, seamless knits as well as lightweight, iridescent and reflective outerwear fabric and trim details. Executed using a bold silver palette, the accessories then include versatile baggage options, socks, headwear and a terry towel.
Born as the best of adidas. Projected into the future. Embedded into culture.
