My hope is to bridge that gap and build a thriving community where creatives can support one another.”
Founded in Nashville, USA, Song House gained worldwide fame through its viral “30 minutes to write a hook” videos, amassing over 1.4 million Instagram followers. The platform’s collaborative writing sessions and camps have inspired countless artists, producers, and songwriters to create music that resonates with audiences globally. During Erin’s own experience at one of the camps, she was approached by the founder of Song House. “During the camp, Tyler, the founder of Song House, approached me with the idea of doing “something small” in South Africa to test the waters. After some time reflecting on how to balance this with my business and artist career, I decided to go for it. I hosted my first one-day songwriting workshop, and the results were mind-blowing. It became crystal clear that this is something South Africa’s music industry needs—and something I’m meant to be part of.”
Song House South Africa’s workshops will be unlike any other in the country. With four 30-minute group writing sessions, followed by live performances and recordings, participants experience the magic of fast-paced, collaborative songwriting while building invaluable connections within the industry.
