MZANSI’S NO.1 COOKING SHOW COLOUR YOUR PLATE WITH KOORETURNS FOR A FIERY FOURTH SEASON
JOHANNESBURG – After 3 successfully sizzling seasons Colour Your Plate with KOO returns to South Africa’s screens for a much anticipated fourth season. Dubbed as South Africa’s favourite cooking show where the stakes are higher, the flavours are bold, and the kitchen is sizzling with excitement. The new season premiered on Tuesday 11 February at 7pm on SABC2 as the hunt for South Africa’s next culinary superstar continues.

Lovers of the show are set to expect a riveting season as the kitchen heats up every week with exciting challenges that are set to challenge the contestant’s culinary prowess. Back on the judging panel are Head Judge – the internationally acclaimed Chef Rueben Riffle and nutritionist Arthur Ramoroka who will be championing KOO’s balanced eating ethos – 5 a day (3 veggies and 2 fruit) for a balanced diet.

KOO’s Iconic Duo will be headlined by Thembisa Mdoda and Sipho Alphi Mkhwanazi as they celebrate KOO’s Baked Beans one of a kind delicious flavour and KOO Chakalaka’s oh-so-spicy flavour that have been pantry favourites for years, be it braai’s, weddings or Sunday lunches, this iconic duo has been a part of all our celebrations.
Co-hosted by Thembisa Mdoda, viewers can expect a slew of their favourite personalities on the show joining the esteemed panel of judges such as Mmule “Feed My Tribe” Setati, Sipho “Alphi” Mkhwanazi just to name a few to ensure that South Africa’s next cooking star brings the nice and the spice.
Alphi Mkhwanazi shared his excitement on being Mr spice, saying; He’s beyond excited to be stepping into the role of Mr. Spice for KOO, and even more thrilled to represent the iconic KOO Chakalaka. “I’m honoured to be the face of such a deliciously fiery part of our culture. KOO Chakalaka is all about bringing heat, flavour, and a bit of fun to every meal, and I can’t wait to share some exciting, spice-filled moments with all of you this season.” Added Mkhwanazi who will also be a guest judge on the show.

Season four of Colour Your Plate with KOO will see contestants flex their culinary musclesas they tackle weekly challenges every Tuesday at 7pm on SABC2 from the 11th of Februaryas they battle it out in the kitchen for the grand prize of R150 000,00.
