25 February 2025: Humsha Ramgobin, Group Chief Human Resource Officer for Mediclinic, has been named a Top Global HR Influencer at the Global HR Excellence Awards 2025, held last week at the World HRD Congress in Mumbai, India. This accolade recognises HR leaders who have made a significant impact on the profession, shaping progressive workplace practices and driving meaningful transformation.

The selection process for the Top Global HR Influencer award involved rigorous research conducted by the World HRD Congress’ advisory board and research cell. The research team identified leaders who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to the field, with nominations vetted by a global jury of senior HR professionals. Ramgobin’s extensive experience, strategic leadership, and commitment to nurturing rising talent were key factors in her selection.

“I am truly humbled to receive this recognition among global HR peers. This award is a reflection of the work we do to shape HR practices – that prioritise people, innovation, and inclusivity. As organisations continue to navigate an evolving world of work, I believe HR leaders have a critical role in ensuring that businesses remain agile while fostering environments where employees can thrive,” says Ramgobin.

Ramgobin remains dedicated to shaping the future of HR by mentoring young professionals and driving strategic change within the industry.

The World HRD Congress, now in its 33rd edition, saw over 1,500 HR professionals from 133 countries gather to discuss emerging trends and best practices in the industry. This year’s theme “AI (IQ.EQ.SQ) – New HR Paradigms” highlights the evolving role of HR in balancing artificial intelligence, emotional intelligence, and social intelligence in the workplace.
