EDM producer Undertone is back with a brand-new single, Kind of Love—a dynamic House/Pop track that blends emotion, rhythm, and pure creative energy

Originally titled Jan25 during production, the track was built around the captivating vocals of Elianne, whose ethereal tone reminded Undertone of Ellie Goulding. Inspired by her voice, he crafted the song over four weeks in his Benoni studio, shaping it into a 122 BPM groove-driven anthem that feels just as at home on dancefloors as it does on mainstream radio, especially with its shorter radio edit.
One of the track’s standout moments is its piano bridge, which came to life through pure spontaneity—Undertone freely played on an Akai MPK MIDI controller, experimenting without expectation. The result was a beautifully expressive section that adds to the song’s deep, emotional pull. Composed in D minor, Kind of Love carries an introspective yet uplifting energy, perfect for listeners seeking both melody and movement. Final mastering was handled by Ross Finck, ensuring a polished, radio-ready sound.
The music video for Kind of Love adds a personal touch, featuring Undertone’s son, Sven, in a visually striking setting—Fort Klapperkop in Pretoria. Filming took place just a day after the song officially received its title, marking the final step in a creative journey that started with an inspired vocal and evolved into something truly special.
