Cape Town erupts with sisterhood: Inside the TMS x W&W x Spotify Live Podcast Event

Conversations included personal and professional growth, leveling up, self-investment, relationships, and the importance of stepping outside of your comfort zone

14 March 2025, South Africa – Raw vulnerability, unapologetic truths, and a tidal wave of sisterhood crashed over Cape Town this weekend. The “To My Sisters” x Wisdom & Wellness x Spotify event wasn’t just a gathering; it was a space for women to celebrate each other, share wisdom, and explore topics that encourage personal growth, spiritual alignment, and community building.

Kamogelo Motlhabane, a popular beauty and fashion social media influencer and host of the event, led the stirring ice breaker, setting the tone for a day full of meaningful exchanges. Before the day’s main discussions kicked off, VIP guests were treated to a meet-and-greet, offering an exciting moment to engage with the podcasters and hosts up close.

The first fireside chat, led by Courtney Boateng, Renée Kapuku and Mpoomy Ledwaba, focused on several themes central to personal and professional growth, including leveling up, self-investment, relationships, and the importance of stepping outside of your comfort zone. In addition to touching on the importance of being accountable and staying spiritually grounded, the podcast trio also shared insights from their own journeys, emphasising how women can find success both personally and professionally by staying true to themselves and embracing challenges.

The recipe for growth

Courtney spoke passionately about the key to running a successful business, especially when collaborating with friends or family. “The recipe is in looking for two things: character and competence,” she noted, stressing the importance of trust and capability in building strong partnerships. Renée, on the other hand, offered a word of advice to the women present, “Be prepared to be challenged and held accountable” – a reminder that growth often comes through discomfort and self-reflection.

In a moment that brought the room to a standstill, each woman was paired up and given a minute to declare: “What is one thing you are proud of yourself for?” The only rule? Listen. No interruptions. The silence spoke volumes.

The group reflected on the impact of these affirmations, with several volunteers sharing how it felt to be deeply listened to and affirmed.

Nurturing yourself and your relationships

The momentum didn’t stop there. The event continued with conversations ranging from life stories and family dynamics to forgiveness and healing, touching on the powerful ways women can nurture both themselves and their relationships. The trio spoke about forgiveness as an important aspect of life even when the ones who wronged you do not ask for forgiveness, as well as tapping into the unique gifts that one has.

The conversation took a daring and deeply necessary turn when “Wisdom & Wellness” and “To My Sisters” tackled the complex intersection of God, women, and sex; creating a sanctuary for honest dialogue, breaking down taboos, and fostering a sense of liberation.

Throughout the day, the energy was palpable. Guests were fully engaged, and the overall vibe of the event reflected the essence of true sisterhood—support, celebration, and a shared commitment to growth. The TMS x W&W x Spotify event wasn’t just a moment; it was a movement—a declaration of the unstoppable force of women who dare to be seen, heard, and unapologetically themselves.
