A FEAST FESTIVAL OF FOOD AND MUSIC!

It is all about offering family-friendly live musical treats that will get you up on your feet, moving & grooving from Friday September 23rd.

Get your tickets online now and we will see you at The Pavilion Shopping Centre for the 6th instalment of the iconic Durban Street Food Festival hosted in the undercover parking; outside Entrance 5 (near Green Cross).

After you have explored all the quirky cool food trucks, craft stalls and everything else in between – make your way to the entertainment section of the festival and catch Veranda Panda & Desmond and the Tutus among many other local supporting acts and DJ’s!

The Tutus’ have toured extensively internationally, opening on their 2009 UK tour for The Vivian Girls, The Soft Pack and Women. They played at one of the last and legendary Optimo parties at The Sub Club in Glasgow and managed to sell out their first European headliner at Vanner och Bekanta in Stockholm. They’ve also played among Johnny Clegg, The Mahotella Queens, and Blk Jks at the South African themed Rio Loco in Toulouse, France in 2010. In a nutshell, they have sold out shows all over the globe, including Japan, France, Sweden and the UK.

And from London, Paris, Sweden, Reunion Islands, Frankfurt and now in Westville, Durban the creative combo deal that makes Veranda Panda, that of Liam and Jane Magner, will get that stage reverberating with the amalgamation of electronic music together with live instrumentation. Their style is energetic and those attending will be sure to enjoy the sounds.

Liam has been there, done that and worn the T-shirt. From stage to TV, modelling, MC work and stage design he runs his own creative messaging agency. His music ranges from radio hits to corporate anthems, the underground and overground, all gathered under the umbrella of his passion for performance. Jane is the quintessential captain of the swimming team. A full time member of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra, she is a violinist of the highest calibre.

Since their inception; the duo has released a number of albums. Their Drum and Bass single: ‘Two in the same’, held a record breaking six weeks at number one on the ‘Red Cap Radio’ music charts. Along with this, they feature regularly on ‘The Roger Goode Show’ and “The Nick Hamman show”.

For three days at The Pavilion, there will be something for everyone, from food, art, entertainment and great company, what better way to connect and celebrate our Heritage weekend from Friday, September 23 between 17h00 to 22h00, then on Saturday, September 24 from 11h00 to 22h00 and to wrap up the “tasty Heritage weekend treat” on Sunday, September 25 from 11h00 to 19h00.
