Must read

The streets of the Jacaranda City are guaranteed to sparkle as residents, event organizers, sponsors, and partners join forces for a fun and rewarding “City Clean Up” on Saturday, 24 August 2024 starting at the Absa Lilian Ngoyi Branch at 08:30, just one day before the iconic Absa RUN YOUR CITY TSHWANE 10K.

“The City Clean Up is a fantastic opportunity for the Tshwane community to come together as we prepare the city for race day,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. “We’re inviting all Tshwane residents to join us in making the city shine ahead of the second annual race in Tshwane. With a strong lineup of elite athletes and mass participation, this event will highlight Tshwane’s beauty, lively atmosphere, and its amazing people.”

Meyer adds: “The City Clean Up is open to everyone, and no registration is required. Just show up at the venue on the morning, and our team will be there to welcome you. We’ll provide gloves and bags to all participants, and after the clean-up, Absa will treat volunteers to a delicious breakfast pack. We’re excited to partner with Tshwane residents on Saturday, 24 August, as we get the city ready to shine at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY TSHWANE 10K.”

“In preparation for the Absa RUN YOUR CITY TSHWANE 10K, we proudly spearhead a ‘City Clean Up,’ engaging residents in preserving our capital’s beauty. This initiative fosters community involvement and excitement for the race,” stated Jabulile Nsibanyoni, Head of Sponsorships, Brand, and Marketing. She added, “The Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series goes beyond competition, symbolising our shared commitment to community impact. Join us to ensure Tshwane’s streets are pristine, while enhancing the participants’ race experience.”
