Afro- Soul Musician Nybosse Releases Debut Single “NgiHappy Ngawe”
Johannesburg [07 March] – After nearly two decades of producing music behind the scenes, Afro-Soul musician Nybosse is stepping back into the spotlight with his heartfelt new single, “NgiHappy Ngawe”, which loosely translates to “I’m happy with you.” Known for his soulful, jazzy sound that bridges generations, Nyabosse is now sharing his love offering with the world, tugging at the hearts of hopeless romantics everywhere.
Inspired by the joy and celebration of love, Nybosse wanted to create a song for couples to enjoy, one they could play in any setting—from relaxing at home to celebrating at weddings. “I wanted to write a song that helps people believe in love again, in a time where many think it doesn’t exist,” he explains. “It’s a celebration of love, showing how it can transform lives when treated with respect and care.”

With a sound that blends soulful melodies, jazzy elements, and youthful energy, Nybosse’s music transcends age, speaking to music lovers of all generations—from the younger crowd to adults. “My sound is soulful, jazzy, with a bit of youth in it. It’s for every generation,” he says, describing his unique musical style.
This single marks Nybosse’s transition from a respected producer to a solo performer. While he has previously worked with talented artists like Fire Mavela on Call Me and collaborated with DJ Cutman, Kwenza Bhengu, Msizylee, and others, this marks his first official release as an artist.
Born in the small village of KwaMafunze in Pietermaritzburg, Nybosse developed his passion for music during his high school days. Writing songs and singing with friends led to his first studio recording in 2007 and performing in community halls as part of the group GMTex. His journey then led him to become a respected producer, working with artists across various genres, including house music, hip hop, gospel, and maskandi.
After moving to Soweto in 2020, Nybosse worked as a producer at Power FM, honing his skills with high-profile artists under major labels. However, he had long been inspired to share his own music, and now he’s doing just that with his debut single, “NgiHappy Ngawe,” followed by a music video soon to be available on major music channels across the country.
Looking ahead, Nybosse is eager to continue his journey, with plans for an album and more music videos later this year. “I’m excited for what the future holds,” he says. “This project has inspired me to create bigger things, and I hope it resonates with listeners who enjoy heartfelt, honest music.”
