Johannesburg, October 2024 | The DStv Content Creator Awards are set to return with another dazzling edition, and this year’s star-studded lineup promises to take the highly anticipated ceremony to new heights.
Celebrating Africa’s top content creators, the event will be hosted by 947’s Anele Mdoda, and will feature show-stopping performances by the Bontle Modiselle Dance Studio, the stunning drag artists Manila von Teez and Ina Propriette, alongside standout acts like Mandisi Tshingana, Cassidy Nicholson (Constantia Mom), and Nina Hastie (Bryanston Aunt). In true creator-driven fashion, Nina Hastie will also be scripting the show, with surprise performances from some of the country’s leading creators throughout the night.
This year’s awards will transform Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton into a hub of entertainment, innovation, and digital creativity. The grand marquee will host a night of spectacular celebration, bringing together top content creators and cultural icons for an unforgettable experience.
The official afterparty, powered by Channel O, takes over Hard Rock Café with a headline performance from the ever-vibrant Ms Cosmo. Additional DJs will be announced soon.
In a fresh twist, the DStv Content Creator Awards are searching for a dynamic personality to host the TikTok live stream on the prestigious Purple Carpet. Aspiring presenters are invited to post a 60-second video showing off their presenting skills for a chance to interview top content creators, media personalities, and public figures as they arrive for the event.
The winner will not only host the Purple Carpet but will gain exclusive access to the Channel O afterparty, making sure they’re at the heart of the action all night long. From interacting with nominees to capturing live moments for viewers at home, this is an exciting opportunity for South Africa’s up-and-coming presenters to step into the spotlight.
To enter, participants must post their 60-second presenting video on any social media platform, tag @contentcreatorawardssa, and use the hashtags #DStvCCA and #PurpleCarpetHost. Entries close on 6 October 2024.
