As someone who has never been afraid to draw from personal experiences, this new single was no difference. “I had a fleeting connection with someone and when we crossed paths again, she was already in a relationship. It was a bummer, but it inspired me to write this song.”. The track is part of a six-track EP set for release in December, which represents the five stages of grief in a relationship. ‘One Last Chance’ plays a crucial role in the EP, symbolizing the bargaining phase,” Ben shares. “The song has a distinctive folk vibe and draws on nostalgic elements reminiscent of the early 2010s, particularly the sound of One Direction. “I wanted to give the track a relatable love story feel, while still keeping it true to my own experience. I even made subtle lyric changes that I think make the song more personal and memorable.”.
