Big Brother Mzansi 2 will be launching one week earlier than initially thought, and will now go on air on Sunday, 22 March at 20:00, which means that the show will debut on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) in just over two weeks.

Proving that he’s always got a trick up his sleeve, Biggie’s news is sure to thrill fans who are excitedly waiting for season two of the blockbuster reality series to start.

Meanwhile charismatic TV star Lungile Radu returns to Big Brother Mzansi 2 as series presenter, a role for which he was recently SAFTA nominated.

Radu will again be the main link between the show’s viewers and the Housemates, and will anchor the all-important Sunday eviction shows where top South African talent is once again expected to take to the stage to perform top tracks.

“It all starts when the Housemates are revealed during the launch. That’s a huge moment for fans – who are these new people? How will they behave? Do I like them? Can they win? These are just some of the questions that fans cannot wait to have answered. Plus, the show is jam packed with action,” says Lungile Radu.

“Dramatic Sunday night eviction shows, nominations, tasks, parties, arena games, surprise guests, diary sessions …there’s so much to look forward to,” he adds.

He goes on to say: “Let’s also not forget the friendships and alliances that get built, the arguments and debates that come with some of these big personalities, the romances that blossom. And Biggie at the heart of it – cooking up new twists and turns, all the time. It really is entertainment all the way.”

Right now, all eyes are focussed on the launch and the excitement this new season will bring.

With the house cameras and microphones ready to go live 24/7 for 56 days, M-Net Director of Local Interest Channels, Nkateko Mabaso is confident that viewers are going to be locked in to BIG BROTHER MZANSI 2.

“We’re very pleased to have incredible Housemates again this season, a stylish and polished new house, an extremely strong new theme that Endemol SA have worked hard to develop and of course, the prize money has also increased. We are determined that this season will be our very best yet!”
