Bluff Towers – a little piece of shopping paradise in the heart of Durban’s
Bluff – is living up to its role as the perfect retail getaway for South Durban with a R3000 shopping voucher competition for three lucky shoppers and an exciting charity kiosk that will assist the nearby Collingwood Primary School.

Those who spend R500 or more on shopping at Bluff Towers can pop their entries into a box within the mall. Not only will the centre donate R5 to Collingwood Primary School for each entry received but three lucky shoppers will stand to win a R3000 shopping voucher.

The shopping competition, which has just launched, will continue until March 27th
when the winners will be announced.

Centre Manager of Bluff Towers Zinhle Madiba said that this latest
competition and promotion enabled both the mall and its supporters to help educate the shoppers of the future.

Madiba emphasised that a good education will create a new generation of
shoppers who will support the mall and contribute to the community and
economy in South Durban.

On Mandela Day last year, Bluff Towers began a long term partnership with
the school. Now, a Support Our School (SOS) Charity Kiosk, manned by
promoters, will be positioned close to Dischem in the mall between now and the end of March to raise funds for the struggling school.

Proceeds from all sales at the kiosk will go to the school and Bluff Towers
will also donate R5 for every shopper that downloads the SmartMall App
during the campaign to Collingwood Primary School.

Shoppers that download the Smart Mall App for shopping can enjoy 1 GB data free every day at Bluff Towers. The App provides shoppers with details of tenants within the centre as well as specials and trading hours.

General Manager, Zinhle Madiba said that this campaign would go a long way to assisting the 1200 learners between Grades 1 and 7 at Collingwood Primary School. This initiative also forms part of the broader SA Corporate SOS Campaign (Support Our Schools), which aims to help improve the quality of education in the country and provide hope to future generations. Collingwood Primary School was established in July 1970 as a prefabricated
temporary structure until a more secure better structure could be built.
Sadly, this building is yet to be replaced and has suffered severe damage
during heavy rains since 2017.  Ablutions and playground facilities are also
in disrepair.

The school serves learners from nearby Umlazi and Lamontville as well as
children from the nearby Wentworth and Bluff communities. These learners are currently housed in 30 hot and uncomfortable mobile classrooms as they await the construction of a new school.
