Johannesburg, South Africa – March 2025 In celebration of International Women’s Month and Human Rights Month, the Bold Women Network is thrilled to announce the distribution of essential items collected for The Campaign for Dignity and Courage on March 18, 2025. This initiative aims to support women and children affected by gender-based violence, providing them with necessary clothing as they rebuild their lives in crisis centres.

Since its launch in January, The Campaign for Dignity and Courage has focused on uplifting vulnerable communities. The initiative has partnered with several organizations, including Leratong Place of Love Crisis Centre, Looking Forward Creative Centre, New Life Centre for Girls, and Ladies of Hope, to ensure that those in need receive the support they deserve.

“Our mission is to bring hope and dignity to women and children facing the hardships of gender-based violence. Through this campaign, we aim to provide not only essential items but also skills development opportunities” said Lerato Kadiaka, Co-Founder of Bold Women Network.

In addition to the distribution event, the Bold Women Network is excited to announce the launch of a skills development program, “Enabling women to fish for themselves” designed to empower women and young girls with practical skills. This program will help them achieve financial independence, paving the way for a brighter future once they transition out of crisis centres. “The commitment to these women aligns with our support for the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW60) and the Beijing Platform for Action, further emphasising our dedication to gender equality and empowerment” Kadiaka continues.

The Bold Women Network continues to advocate for the rights and dignity of women, and with the support of their partners and community, they are making a significant impact in the fight against gender-based violence. Join BWN in their efforts to empower those in need and create a society where every woman and child can thrive.
