Cape Town, Langa – On Friday, June 14th, Bridges for Music hosted a graduation ceremony at the Bridges Academy in Langa. The event marked a successful milestone as the Class of Term 1, 2024, graduated with joy and pride.
The Bridges for Music Talent Development Programme is dedicated to transforming students’ lives by enhancing motivation, curiosity, and emotional intelligence, leading to meaningful employment. Focused on under-resourced communities, the programme provides essential skills and support for students to reach their full potential.
The programme offers training in music, entrepreneurship, and computer literacy, along with career growth sessions, leadership activities, teamwork exercises, and mindfulness sessions to boost well-being. This holistic approach empowers students to succeed while fostering resilience, empowerment, and well-being.
“I encourage you to think big, work hard, be patient for the results, and remain conscious of every step,” said Valentino Barrioseta to the graduates. The air was reverberating with excitement and inspiration as 23 talented individuals, the co-creators of this term’s class, graced the stage to receive their well-deserved certificates. The ceremony transformed into a spectacular display of their exceptional singing and captivating dance performances, leaving the audience filled with pride and admiration.
“It’s been a long road that has led me to this moment. I did not complete high school and this is the first time that I am ever graduating. I’m so grateful to everyone at the Bridges Academy,” said a teary Bonke Bekizulu.
