The holiday season is a time of goodwill and giving, so, this year, Park Boulevard Centre is appealing to the public to donate canned goods to our local old age home, ABH Clayton Gardens Home for the Aged, as part of our Christmas CSI driver, where we, as a Centre, lend our support to a local home within our community.
For the month of November and during the first two weeks of December, Park Boulevard Centre is on a massive drive to get the community involved, in showing their support by dropping off non-perishable foods, and some treats in order for them to create care packages for senior citizens and provide them with some cheer over the festive season.
Some ideas for items to purchase include that of canned fish, canned meals, legumes and beans, jams, sweets, and of course any toiletries, whilst doing your daily shopping, and to place these items in the collection trolley, that will be based inside the Park Boulevard Centre Spar.
Do your part, pay it forward, and contribute, no matter how small, and help uplift the lives of the elderly who may not have loved ones with which to spend Christmas, and often lack the necessary financial support to make Christmas a great day .
According to Bernice Clarisse, the Property Manager under the Broll Property Group, “The idea for this particular campaign is to build Ubuntu in our community, starting with an old age home in the vicinity of Park Boulevard Centre. We are proud to run a number of campaigns hosted throughout the year, were we identify different recipients in need and assist where we can”.
So this Christmas, give a thought to our elderly together with Park Boulevard, and lend your support to make someone’s Christmas a little brighter.
