“2024 was a devastating year for me and my family. Losing so many close people, including my mother-in-law, who had been part of our home for 25 years, was incredibly hard. I watched my wife drink her morning coffee, lost in thought, and I knew she was thinking about her mother, her best friend. That’s where this song began. But little did I know that just three months later, I would lose my own mother—also to cancer. The grief was overwhelming, but in that grief, I found a deep appreciation for the time we had and the love we shared. That’s what this song is about.”
