I’ve heard from a lot mommies and especially my friends, who would say that they really run out of ideas for lunch packs.
I thought I should share my lunch box ideas (practising for one day, when I will be a mom ). My first suggestion would be to play around with different kinds of foods that kids eat daily – the healthier variety off course. Make sure that you add a nice treat on Fridays that will give them something to look forward to when they open up the lunch box.
Be creative as well when packing these i.e. put a smiley face or hearts on the bread or cut the bread in different shapes like a star, instead of the usual slices. Most importantly have fun when doing these so that it doesn’t feel like a chore.
Here’s a few pictures and ideas for some inspiration.
Ideas
Make ham and cheese sandwiches (draw a little face using available ingredients) or serve them as sandwich kebabs
Pack raw fresh fruits and vegetables (e.g. carrots or cucumbers cut into strips, mixed vegetable or fruit kebabs)
Meat balls with mini buns, biltong
Good healthy muffins
Lots and lots of water

Enjoy every moment of packing those lunches mommies
