British beauty Cressida Bonas – who is best known as Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend – has secured a major role in a new ITV series.

Cressida Bonas has secured a major role in a new ITV series.

The 29-year-old beauty – who dated Prince Harry from 2012 until 2014 – has been working hard to establish herself as a credible actress over recent years, and Cressida has now earned her biggest role to date, starring as a professional model known as Bambi in ‘The White House Farm Murders’.

Cressida studied her craft at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and has subsequently appeared in a number of off-West End plays.

She will appear opposite Freddie Fox – who has been cast in the role of convicted killer Jeremy Bamber – in the six-part drama series, the Daily Mail reports.

Cressida previously admitted that her relationship with Prince Harry has stunted her acting career.

The British beauty claimed she had been “pigeonholed” for her links to the royal, which has made it difficult for her to find acting work.

She explained: “Especially in this country, I find that people are very quick to put you in a box or put you in a corner and think, ‘Oh well, you’re that, so you must be that.'”

Cressida found the situation “incredibly frustrating”.

But the blonde beauty was determined that she wouldn’t allow the prejudice to derail her acting dreams.

She said: “It’s incredibly frustrating, especially in the industry that I’m in. But you know, it is the way it is … It’s making a stand and saying, ‘Actually no, this is who I am, and this is what I want to do.'”

Despite being keen to establish herself as a credible actress, Cressida was still happy to attend Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19.
