Crown Relocations South Africa joined hands with Crown Records Management South Africa to make a positive impact on Mandela Day 2023. Using their 67 minutes to spread compassion and hope, they donated 150 food parcels and 150 scarves to The Angel Network, a charitable organisation committed to helping vulnerable communities across South Africa.

Mandela Day, celebrated annually on 18 July in South Africa, honours the legacy of the late and beloved, Nelson Mandela and encourages individuals and businesses to give back to their communities. Crown took this opportunity to create a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing hardships and adversity. The 150 food parcels donated aim to alleviate food insecurity and provide essential sustenance to families in need. Meanwhile, the 150 scarves will bring warmth and comfort to the less fortunate during the icy winter months.

The Angel Network extended its heartfelt gratitude to Crown Records Management, and Crown Relocations South Africa for their benevolence and generosity. In a thank you statement, the Angel Network spokesperson, Glynne Wolman remarked, “We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful donations at our inaugural Mandela Day Hearts Build Homes event. This generosity and kindness allow The Angel Network to continue doing the work that we do. As a result of our incredible corporate donors, the building of 36 homes, an ECD centre and a soup kitchen began in Orange Farm yesterday and in the weeks to come, another six will be built in KwaZulu-Natal. This donation of 150 food parcels and 150 scarves will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of many individuals and families in our care. Together, we are building a more compassionate and supportive community.”

The Managing Director of Crown Relocations South Africa, Ian Pettey also expressed the company’s profound sense of privilege in making this contribution to the worthy cause. “At Crown, we believe in the power of collective action to bring about positive change. It is both an honour and a privilege to be able to give back to society, especially on a day as significant as Mandela Day. We hope that our humble contribution of food parcels and scarves brings warmth, nourishment, and smiles to those in need and inspires others to join us in making a lasting impact.”
