Johannesburg, South Africa – Setting the stage for what’s to be expected at this season’s South African Fashion Week, CRUZ Vodka last night officiated the opening for the country’s most prestigious fashion gathering with a dazzling spectacle of glitz and glamour. And what a night it was!

Hosted at the prestigious Aurum Restaurant in Sandton, Johannesburg, the by-invite-only affair was attended by an A-list guest list featuring the biggest celebrities, personalities and media from the world of fashion and entertainment.

And as expected guests pushed the boundaries of style and creativity, wearing stunning ensembles that showcased the diversity and dynamism of the country’s  local fashion scene.

Celebrities including Blue Mbombo, Nina Hastie, Gigi La Mayne, Chris Jaftha, Ponahalo Mojapelo, Penny Lebyane, Abigail Visagie, Kyle Clark, Rosemary Zima, Shamiso Mosaka, Yaya Mavundla, Naliyani Uma, Langa Mavuso, Kuhle Adams and Kim Jayde brought their A-game to the red carpet, making it an event that was as much about fashion as it was about entertainment. Reality TV stars included the gorgeous Tshegofatso Manche, Londie London, Nicole Capper, Angel Pather, Lynn Forbes  and some of the fabulous Housewives of Joburg cast.

Miss Earth Zabelo Hlabisa also graced the carpet with her three princesses as well as previous Miss South Africa Tansey Coetzee and previous Mrs South Africa Jo Judnick-Wilson.

Another highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the electrifying performances by South African music sensation Khuli Chana alongside the vibrant beats by DJ’s Just Judie and Denise Marz.
