Hosted by Dan Nicholl, the Dan Really Likes Wine show is South Africa’s only online wine show. From his university days in Cape Town to becoming a prominent wine and food writer, Dan’s journey has led to the creation of an online wine show that’s captured the hearts of wine lovers nationwide.
“When Dan Really Likes Wine started in 2016, the idea was fairly simple: to make wine more accessible, by focusing less on the language and technical detail that can often be quite intimidating, and instead focus on the stories around the wine, the winemakers, the farms and estates,” explains Dan. “In the eight years that the show has been running, I feel we’ve delivered on that mandate, and have introduced many superb bottles and exceptional producers to an audience all over the world. And with the release of the monthly Dan Really Likes Wine Selection with Norman Goodfellows, who share my passion for celebrating wine, we’re taking a big step forward in extending the platform. From unusual varietals and older vintages, to sought after producers and limited releases, I’ve worked with some of my favourite winemakers to curate a white and a red case each month that offers some genuinely exciting wine.”
Joining forces with Norman Goodfellows, the go-to liquor supplier since 1976, the monthly Dan Really Likes Wine Selection offers subscribers exclusive access to premium wines curated by Dan himself. With a national footprint spanning Johannesburg, Cape Town, Garden Route, and Durban, Norman Goodfellows is committed to opening up a world of fine wine and spirits for South African consumers.
