Now she is back in the spotlight to win over even more hearts… but this time with the release of her debut single, GOLD.
According to the eighteen-year-old Capetonian this pop single, which she wrote herself, is about discovering what really matters in life.
“The song was written for the lions I grew up with for three years,” she shares. “It made me realize that I determine my own happiness and that I should be grateful for the real gold in my life, like the lions.”
This inspirational track was produced by StoneBear & Mayor, and she believes that it will appeal to listeners of all ages. “It’s a little different, but I think that it is a heartfelt song that will speak to people’s hearts and invite them to make it their own.”
A music video of this unique song is also available. Produced by Josh Farrer and Martin McCarthy, the video was filmed at various locations in and around Gordon’s Bay. The idea was to emphasise the message of the song and capture what matters most.
“I thought I knew what the gold in my life was, and at that point, it was the lions. We then decided to show that true gold actually lies within yourself and not in materialistic things or relationships,” the artist intimates.
