[full]The event held at Taboo nightclub in Sandton gave music fans a chance to meet the stars behind the new brand of premium quality consumer headphones and earphones which have taken the country by storm.

Following in the footsteps of international artists such as Dr Dre and 50 cents, the local artists decided to show fans that South Africa can also produce good quality products.

“What was important for us was that the product represents our brand, which is one of high quality, it needed to be good, it needed to look good and it needed to sound and feel good, J’ Something from MiCasa said.

“You know we’re always trying to emulate the greats like your 50 cents and Dre. I’m about game changing moments and surrounding myself with big picture thinkers like these artists so this was the best idea ever,” rapper Khuli Chana added.

The event also included performances by the artists and a special appearance on the decks by DJ Lowdown Loretta Brown aka Erykah Badu.

The headphones are currently available at Look ‘n Listen and Van Schaik stores. They are soon to be available at Waltons, Makro & Toys R Us stores with prices ranging from R149 to R349.
