As the World Cup presses on without England among the final 16 contenders, the nation’s most famous footballer has switched his attentions to tennis.
David Beckham treated his mother Sandra to a VIP trip to Wimbledon, where they sat centre court in the Royal box, watching intently as Mikhail Kuskushkin battled it out with Rafael Nadal on Saturday.
The retired footballer, 39, was undeterred by the stormy weather dampening the British capital that afternoon, as he made his way to south-west London with his radiant mother in tow.
Long celebrated for his stylish wardrobe, David didn’t disappoint when he arrived at day six of the big-ticket event.
The sportsman wore a light golden brown single breasted blazer over a white shirt, which he teamed with tailored black trousers and a black and yellow striped tie.
Sporting a full beard, the one-time Emporio Armani underwear model kept his hair slick with a side parting.

His mother, who looked youthful with a short blonde bob, also showed off her elegant style, arriving in a cream jacket over a black top and trousers.
David and his mother sat in their coveted seats just a row in front of another footballing legend – Sir Bobby Charlton.
And, as would be expected, the stars’ presence didn’t go unnoticed.
As the star-struck crowd applauded enthusiastically, David and Sir Bobby greeted fellow attendees with a warm wave before taking their seats.
The husband of former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham gave some female fans a thrill, when he made his way over to them to pose for a series of selfies.
Other well-known faces among the crowd on Saturday included actress Gemma Arterton and model Amy Willerton.
