Davido up for a Soul Train award

Nigerian rapper Davido has made the 2014 the Soul Train Awards nominees list.

The rapper is the only African among the nominees.

As a young artiste and producer Davido has seen his career rise ever since he stepped into the music scene last year.

He has been nominated in the ‘Best International Performance’ category for his smash hit tune ‘Aye’, which was released earlier in the year.

Born David Adedeji Adeleke in Atlanta, U.S.A but raised in Lagos, Nigeria, he has been a music lover from a tender age, started exploring his talents in singing and producing as a teenager and was a member of a music group before leaving to sing solo.

So far this year he has received four major awards namely: MTV MAMA’s Best African Act, BET Awards Best International Act, Channel O Best African Act.

The rapper was also announced as a nominee of MTV E.M.A and M.O.B.O award.
