TV personality Bonang Matheba has denied being in a romantic relationship with Nigerian hip hop star D’Banj.
Speaking on TV show Vuzu last night, Matheba said that her relationship with D’Banj was strictly platonic.
“Banj and I are good friends. I mean we’ve known each other for about 4 years now. So unless you hear it from me or him there’s nothing there, nothing to celebrate,” she said.
Bonang and D’banj allegedly spent time together in Cape Town and rang in the New Year in Nigeria together.
Series of pictures were posted on social media fueling the romance between the duo.
In one of the pictures, Queen B and D’banj were pictured gazing into each other’s eyes, sharing an intimate moment on the beach and sharing a friendly kiss on the cheek.
“It is a publicity stunt. They are having a good laugh over all the media reports. He is not in any relationship so to speak for now, that is all I can say,” a source from D’banj’s camp was quoted saying.
